Paint Tip

Have you just painted your walls or plan to do it soon?  Do you hate it when you have a nail hole in your wall that you filled but dread going into the garage and getting your can of paint out and having to stir it for such a small job?  Do I have a time saving tip for you!

The next time you paint, purchase a small clear container or take an old craft paint bottle and remove the label.  Goo Gone helps get the label off of the bottle very well and takes all the sticky off.

Clean the bottle out with dish soap and water and let it dry completely.

Use a funnel and pour some of your stirred paint into the clean bottle.

Make a paper label that tells the brand and color of your paint and what rooms you painted with it.  If you have the original paint chip you can use it instead of making a label.  Tape it to your bottle of paint.

I like to make a bottle of touch up  paint each time I paint a room a different color.  You can keep it somewhere inside the house along with a small paintbrush.  The next time you have to make a small touch up it will be handy and all you have to do is shake the paint in the little bottle.  I take the lid off and dip the tip of my brush right inside.  No need to get out your gallon of paint, paint can opener or stir sticks for little touch ups!  ~  Barbara

Brilliant! Cracking open a big can of paint and then having to stir it is a pain. Thanks so much for your tip. :)

So smart! I usually use a small ziplock bowl and write on it with a Sharpie, but I like this idea even better!
